Kuala lumpur: Xiaomi Corporation today launched the REDMI Note 17 Series in Malaysia, comprising four new models including its first-ever Pro Max variant, alongside its latest lineup of smart wearables.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Beijing-based consumer electronics and smart manufacturing company stated that the REDMI Note 17 Series consists of four new models: the REDMI Note 17, REDMI Note 17 5G, REDMI Note 17 Pro 5G, and its first-ever Pro Max model, the REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G.
The REDMI Note 17 Pro Max 5G is available in Cloud Blush and Purple Black, with prices starting from RM1,999. Meanwhile, the REDMI Note 17 Pro 5G, offered in Blue, Black, and Purple, starts at RM1,599. The REDMI Note 17 5G is priced from RM1,099 and is available in Blue and Black. Additionally, the REDMI Note 17, an online-exclusive model, starts at RM849.
Xiaomi has also unveiled a new lineup of smart wearables, including the REDMI Watch 6 Active and REDMI Watch 6 Lite, as well as a new Mist Blue color for the REDMI Headphones Neo. The REDMI Watch 6 Active, available in Midnight Black, Matte Silver, and Sunset Orange, is priced at RM229, while the REDMI Watch 6 Lite, offered in Black and Steel Gray, is priced at RM299.
The REDMI Watch 6 Active is designed for active lifestyles, providing up to 18 days of battery life under light usage. It offers Bluetooth calling, health monitoring functions such as all-day heart rate, blood oxygen and stress tracking, sleep monitoring, and women's health management.
The REDMI Headphones Neo, priced at RM399 and available in Mist Blue, is equipped with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), which adjusts the noise reduction depth according to changes in environmental noise for uninterrupted listening.
To celebrate the official arrival of the REDMI Note 17 Series in Malaysia, Xiaomi announced the 'REDMI Boss for a Day: Meerqeen' event at Xiaomi Store The Exchange TRX, Kuala Lumpur, on Sept 5, 2026. Customers who pre-ordered the REDMI Note 17 Pro Series can collect their devices at the store from 10 am onwards. The first 80 eligible customers will have the opportunity to attend a special meet-and-greet session with REDMI Note 17 Series Malaysia Ambassador Meerqeen.
The open sale for the series will run from Sept 5 to Sept 30, 2026, at Xiaomi Stores, mi.com, and official Xiaomi stores on Shopee, Lazada, and TikTok Shop. Xiaomi is partnering with Atome to offer a 0 per cent instalment plan on the Atome platform, with an additional RM100 voucher discount available for customers purchasing the REDMI Note 17 Series.
