WorldSkills ASEAN Manila 2025: Malaysia Showcases Global TVET Talent

Kuala lumpur: The participation of the Malaysian contingent in WorldSkills ASEAN Manila 2025 proves that the country is rich with young talent in the field of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) who dare to challenge themselves and compete internationally. Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi emphasized that participants should view the competition as a chance to demonstrate that Malaysian youth in TVET possess global competitiveness, creativity, innovation, and a strong fighting spirit.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Ahmad Zahid, who also serves as the Minister of Rural and Regional Development, extended his best wishes to the entire contingent of 37 young individuals competing in 23 skill categories. He expressed confidence that the participants are capable of repeating past successes and potentially creating new history for Malaysia.

Ahmad Zahid advised the participants to remain focused, ensure adequate rest, increase their prayers, and place all efforts in the hands of Allah SWT. He assured them of the nation’s support, stating, “We all stand firmly behind you, praying that success and excellence will always accompany your struggle there. Insya-Allah.”

WorldSkills ASEAN Manila 2025 is set to take place at the World Trade Center Metro Manila, Philippines, from August 26 to 28. The event will gather nearly 300 participants from across ASEAN to compete in 32 skill areas, including technology, engineering, design, automation, and hospitality.
