Kuala Lumpur: The MADANI Women Empowerment – Creating Distinctive Womenpreneurs in Wealth, Brain, Beauty and Behaviour (WeBBB) programme is a significant initiative to provide additional value and enhance women’s role in entrepreneurship, said Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof. He emphasized that the programme adopts a holistic, innovative, and competitive approach to creating equal opportunities and stimulating economic growth through women’s active involvement in tackling global economic challenges.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Fadillah expressed his admiration for the programme’s success in producing graduates from diverse economic backgrounds, age groups, and ethnicities. The majority of the graduates are micro-entrepreneurs, individuals from the B40 group, single mothers, asnaf, new converts, and young entrepreneurs involved in businesses such as food, fashion, services, and pharmaceuticals. Fadillah also highlighted the increasing activity of women in the workforce, noting their growing presence across various sectors, including professional fields and entrepreneurship. He stated that women’s involvement in the economy significantly contributes to boosting national productivity, particularly through home-based businesses that leverage digital platforms.
The six-month WeBBB programme, conducted through physical, online, and hybrid sessions, has successfully produced 400 graduates. It offered 121 courses covering topics such as Talent Management and Multiple Intelligence Assessment, Innovative Women Entrepreneurs and Economic Sustainability, and Sustainable Financial Management. The programme’s objectives include providing access to financial aid and support, developing platforms for interaction and collaboration, and expanding business networks both locally and internationally.
