Warnings Of Heavy Rain, Thunderstorms In Nine States And KL Up To 6 PM

Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds for nine states and the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur until 6 pm today. It said in a statement that, apart from the whole of Perlis, the adverse weather conditions are also expected to hit Kedah, Terengganu, and Pahang.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, in Kedah, the areas expected to experience these conditions include Langkawi, Kubang Pasu, Kota Setar, and Pokok Sena. In Terengganu, the affected areas are Besut, Setiu, Kuala Nerus, Hulu Terengganu, Kuala Terengganu, Marang, and Dungun. Pahang is also predicted to face inclement weather in Raub, Bentong, Temerloh, Bera, and Rompin.

Similar weather conditions are also expected in parts of Selangor, specifically Hulu Selangor, Gombak, and Hulu Langat. Negeri Sembilan's regions of Jelebu, Kuala Pilah, Jempol, and Tampin are also on alert. In Johor, Segamat, Batu Pahat, Kluang, Mersing, Pontian, and Kulai are likely to be affected.

In Sarawak, the areas predicted to be impacted include Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu, Mukah, Bintulu, Miri, and Limbang. Sabah is also under warning, with alerts issued for the Interior, the West Coast, Tawau, and Sandakan regions.
