Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds in several states, including the Federal Territories of Putrajaya and Labuan, until 7 pm today.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the bad weather is expected to hit Perak, covering areas such as Kinta, Kampar, Batang Padang, and Muallim. In Kelantan, the districts of Jeli and Kuala Krai are anticipated to experience adverse weather conditions. Port Dickson in Negeri Sembilan is also included in the warning.
The warning extends to Pahang, affecting Maran, Kuantan, Pekan, and Rompin. In Selangor, areas such as Hulu Selangor, Klang, Petaling, Kuala Langat, and Sepang are expected to be impacted. Several districts in Johor, including Mersing, Pontian, Kulai, and Johor Bahru, are also on alert.
In Sarawak, the affected areas include Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei (Pakan and Julau), Sibu (Kanowit and Selangau), Mukah, Kapit (Song), Bintulu, Miri (Subis, Miri, and Marudi), and Limbang. Sabah is also expected to be affected, including regions such as the Interior (Sipitang, Tenom, Kuala Penyu, Beaufort, Keningau, and Tambunan), the West Coast, Sandakan (Tongod, Telupid, Kinabatangan, and Beluran), and Kudat.
