Shah alam: Warisan Sound managing director Mohd Khair Ghazali has been named Selangor Art Figure at Majlis Anugerah Seni Negeri Selangor 2025, in recognition of his contributions to the development of the local music industry. Mohd Khair, widely known as Wak Khair, expressed his satisfaction over being appreciated for his work, which includes establishing Warisan Hall Studio, a facility in Sijangkang, Kuala Langat that has been instrumental in nurturing artists and aspiring musicians for the past eight years.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Wak Khair highlighted that despite initial skepticism about setting up a studio in a village, Warisan Hall Studio has succeeded in attracting musicians from countries like Germany and Japan. The award was presented by State Housing and Culture Committee chairman Datuk Borhan Aman Shah and witnessed by National Department for Culture and Arts (JKKN) director-general Mohd Amran Mohd Haris.

The ceremony also honored various contributors to the arts with the Art Supporter Awards. The recipients included the Selangor Malay Customs and Heritage Corporation (PADAT) in the Government/Corporate category, and Sugam Malaysia Cultural Organisation in the non-governmental organisation (NGO) category. In the Media category, the Art Supporter Award was given to Radio Televisyen Malaysia (RTM) Current Affairs News Division, while A. Bavany received the Special Jury Award.
