Semporna: Claims of a group of armed men entering Semporna and Lahad Datu, Sabah that went viral on social media are fake, Eastern Sabah Security Command (ESSCOM) commander Datuk Victor Sanjos said. He also reassured that security in both areas was under control and the public need not be concerned about the claims.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Datuk Victor Sanjos addressed the issue by confirming that the claims circulating on social media platforms are false. He emphasized that the situation remains under control and that ESSCOM is actively monitoring for any threats or suspicious activities that could impact the safety of residents in East Sabah.

Victor further elaborated that ESSCOM continuously monitors and implements security measures, particularly in waters and strategic locations within the East Sabah Security Zone. He urged the public to channel any information regarding security threats to the authorities for action and verification.
