Putrajaya: Le Thi Bich Tran, wife of Vietnam’s Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, today took a scenic cruise on the Putrajaya Lake, taking in the views and charm of Malaysia’s administrative capital. Arriving at the entrance at 3 pm, she was warmly received by Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, the wife of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the two ladies spent about an hour onboard the cruise boat, admiring the iconic buildings around the lake. During the cruise, Le Thi admired the wooden wall decorations carved with hibiscus motifs in the shape of the ASEAN logo, made by artisans from Kraftangan Malaysia.
Le Thi later gifted a portrait of Dr Wan Azizah and Anwar crafted by a Vietnamese local community. Le Thi is in Malaysia with her husband, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, who arrived yesterday for his first official visit ahead of the 46th ASEAN Summit and Related Meetings in Kuala Lumpur.
