Viaim Secures 100 Mln Chinese Yuan Funding Round Backed By Transsion

Beijing: Artificial intelligence (AI)-driven workplace hardware company, viaim has secured an A+ funding round worth about 100 million Chinese yuan, with Transsion Holdings joining as a strategic investor as the companies partner to develop AI-powered assistant hardware. (100 Chinese yuan = RM58.66)

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the collaboration will focus on developing a new generation of AI hardware featuring autonomous perception, decision-making, and execution capabilities. In a statement, viaim founder and chief executive officer, Ma Xiao, said the partnership is intended to accelerate the adoption of AI-enabled hardware in both workplace and consumer settings.

Viaim said the partnership combines its workplace AI and speech technology capabilities with Transsion's global distribution network, manufacturing capacity, and local market expertise. Transsion is known for its strong smartphone market presence in Africa and emerging markets, while viaim has more than 1.5 million registered users across over 50 industries and 200 countries.

Viaim's product portfolio includes OpenNote, RecDot, and NoteKit, with products offering AI-powered translation across more than 78 languages and 145 dialects. The company said it is expanding from recording and transcription hardware into a broader office AI agent platform.
