BOSTON and LONDON: Milbros, a Veson Nautical solution and the industry’s most reliable and extensive database of liquid bulk products, has launched Milbros UV Graphs, a product aimed at revolutionizing traditional tank cleaning practices across fleets worldwide.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Milbros UV Graphs have been developed to work with a spectrophotometer, a machine now being installed on ships that accepts a sample of the residue, or wash water from the tank. The machine measures the absorbance of light at different wavelengths, including the ultraviolet (UV) range.
The introduction of Milbros UV Graphs is set to enhance safety and efficiency in chemical tank cleaning by providing more precise data on the cleanliness of tanks. This technological advancement allows for better decision-making regarding the cleaning process, ensuring that tanks are adequately prepared for their next cargo without unnecessary delays.
By utilizing this innovative tool, fleets can significantly reduce turnaround
times and improve overall operational safety. The ability to accurately measure residue levels means that tank cleaning can be tailored more effectively, minimizing the risk of contamination and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Milbros’ new product aligns with their commitment to advancing maritime safety and efficiency, reflecting their ongoing dedication to providing cutting-edge solutions for the shipping industry.
