Kuala lumpur: Immediate action must be taken against any party that tries to topple the government to ensure that political stability is not affected, said Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi. He emphasized that efforts to undermine political stability through the use of the media or external influence should not be allowed to continue, asserting the importance of maintaining the country's political equilibrium.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Ahmad Zahid, who also serves as the Minister of Rural and Regional Development, addressed reporters after attending the Deputy Prime Minister's Meeting with the Top Management of the Federal Land Development Authority (Felda). He highlighted that the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) are currently investigating the matter and urged all parties to allow the relevant enforcement agencies the necessary time to conduct a thorough inquiry. He deferred to the authorities to manage the investigation as previously mentioned by the Inspector-General of Police and reaffirmed by a statement from the Prime Minister.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim recently disclosed an attempt to overthrow the government, allegedly supported locally and leveraging media influence and international institutions, including notable Zionist groups. Anwar noted that initial investigations by PDRM revealed that the movement operates from abroad and possesses substantial funds to devise strategies aimed at disputing and undermining the current government.
