UPKK, IKP 2026 To Be Held Nationwide From June 29 – JAKIM DG

Kuala lumpur: The 2026 Quran and Fardhu Ain Class Assessment Test (UPKK) and Ithbat KAFA Pratahfiz (IKP) will proceed as scheduled, beginning June 29, said Department of Islamic Development Malaysia (JAKIM) director-general Datuk Dr Sirajuddin Suhaimee. He stated that the implementation involves continuous assessments, written examinations, and hifz al-Quran assessments, to be carried out simultaneously according to the dates fixed by the department.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the 2026 UPKK and IKP implementation covers several assessment components, including the Islamic Lifestyle Appreciation (PCHI), scheduled from June 29 to Sept 28 during school hours. The Amali Solat assessment will take place from June 29 to Sept 28, followed by the Quran Assessment from Sept 28 to Oct 16 and the IKP - Hifz al-Quran assessment from Aug 3 to 6, all conducted during school hours. The UPKK written examination will be held from Nov 2 to 5 according to the set examination timetable.

Sirajuddin explained that UPKK is a national assessment mechanism implemented by JAKIM to assess students' mastery, understanding, and appreciation of the Quran and Fardu Ain (KAFA) Classes within Islamic education as a whole. 'In line with efforts to strengthen the quality of KAFA education, the assessment approach places emphasis on knowledge, skills, and the appreciation of Islamic values in daily life,' he said.

He added that all candidates registered for UPKK are required to participate in the PCHI and Amali Solat components as part of the overall assessment.
