Unstoppable Sivasangari Books Silicon Valley Open Final

Redwood city: Malaysia’s squash player S. Sivasangari is one step away from victory at the Silicon Valley Open in the United States after advancing to the final.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the world No. 8 and third seed Sivasangari showcased strong performance, defeating Egypt’s seventh seed Salma Hany 3-0 in just 22 minutes during the semi-finals. Sivasangari maintained precision and composure throughout the match, winning 11-3, 11-9, 11-5, and securing a place in the final.

Sivasangari will face top seed Olivia Weaver of the United States in the championship match. Weaver has a strong track record against Sivasangari, winning seven out of their eight previous encounters. Weaver reached the final by defeating England’s Georgina Kennedy 3-0 (11-5, 11-3, 11-4) in the other semi-final.
