Osaka: Universal Studios Japan, operated by USJ LLC, and The Pokemon Company have announced an expanded, long-term alliance aimed at delivering innovative and immersive Pokemon experiences to theme park guests worldwide. This collaboration marks a significant step in enhancing theme park offerings with beloved characters and attractions, beginning with a debut at Universal Studios Japan.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the project is a crucial component of USJ LLC's strategy to integrate fan-favorite characters into its attractions, thereby driving more visitors to its parks. Following its launch in Japan, Universal Destinations and Experiences plans to introduce unique Pokemon attractions across its international locations.
USJ LLC Executive Vice President and General Manager, Tak Murayama, described the venture as a bold new global project. He emphasized the unprecedented and innovative experiences that will emerge from this collaboration with Pokemon, a franchise that originated in Japan and has gained worldwide admiration. Murayama expressed pride in starting this initiative in Japan, promising extraordinary moments that will surpass guest expectations and embody the spirit of 'NO LIMIT!'.
Meanwhile, The Pokemon Company President and CEO, Tsunekazu Ishihara, highlighted the significance of launching this project during Pokemon's 30th anniversary. He reiterated the company's mission to enrich both the real and virtual worlds with Pokemon, aiming to create theme park entertainment that surprises and delights fans globally.
