Kuala Lumpur: Minister of National Unity Datuk Aaron Ago Dagang today extended Wesak Day greetings to all Buddhists celebrating the occasion tomorrow. He highlighted the importance of universal values such as compassion, loving-kindness, and self-reflection, noting that these values align closely with the nation’s aspirations.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Aaron stated that Malaysia’s diversity is its strength, emphasizing that this strength can only be sustained through mutual understanding, respect for differences, and embracing diversity as part of the national identity. He conveyed this message in a Facebook post, urging the public to reflect these values in their actions and policies.

Aaron further stressed that these values must start at home, be reinforced in schools, expressed within communities, and upheld by every citizen. His message underscores the importance of integrating these universal values into the fabric of Malaysian society.
