Sandakan: The Unity Government led by Pakatan Harapan (PH) is among those that have delivered the most aid to Sabah and its residents, announced Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim. Anwar, who also serves as the Chairman of PH, stated that during the tenure of the MADANI Government, Sabah has been one of the top beneficiaries in terms of allocations for constructing various facilities, including schools.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Anwar highlighted the significant number of schools built in Sabah since the current government assumed power. He urged citizens to acknowledge these efforts, despite any grievances they may have. Anwar emphasized that the Pakatan Harapan government has provided substantial support to the people of Sabah, urging them to back PH candidates Vivian Wong Shir Yee for the Elopura state assembly seat and Tang Szu Ching for the Tanjung Papat seat.
The Prime Minister made these remarks at a Meet-and-Greet Session with Sandakan youths at the Kampung Sim Sim futsal court, attended by young individuals from the Elopura and Tanjung Papat constituencies. He stressed the importance of continued support for PH in the upcoming 17th Sabah State Election (PRN) to ensure the party maintains a strong voice in advocating for the state’s welfare.
Anwar also emphasized the necessity of a stable state government, supported by a responsible Federal Government, to ensure the ongoing development of Sabah and the well-being of its people. He underscored the need for cooperation between the state and federal governments to achieve these goals.
Addressing the demand for 40 percent of Sabah’s revenue, Anwar assured that the issue would be resolved, and the government remains committed to fulfilling this promise. He criticized previous administrations for their inaction and pledged that the current government would deliver on its commitments.
