Kuala lumpur: The Unity Government will continue to focus on three main thrusts, namely maintaining political stability, driving economic prosperity, and safeguarding the welfare of the people, said Pakatan Harapan (PH) Secretary-General Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail. These principles form the foundation of the Unity Government and have guided its administration over the past three years.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Saifuddin emphasized the importance of mutual trust and respect within the government. He praised Menteri Besar Aminuddin Harun for maintaining victory in Negeri Sembilan and governing effectively, highlighting these values during a 'Ceramah Perdana Pimpinan Utama PH' programme. Aminuddin, who is also the Negeri Sembilan PH chairman, was present alongside Amanah President Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu and DAP Secretary-General Anthony Loke.
Saifuddin expressed confidence in the continuity of the existing leadership with the current term remaining for less than two years. He stressed the coalition's strong confidence in Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim to lead for the remainder of this term and into a second term. He outlined a clear direction to secure another mandate, starting with strengthening Negeri Sembilan under Aminuddin's leadership. The government prioritizes public welfare and ensures the continuity of economic policies amid global uncertainties.
Saifuddin noted the global energy challenges discussed weekly at the Economic Action Council, reiterating the government's commitment to protecting the people's welfare and ensuring economic stability. Loke highlighted the importance of political consensus among coalition parties to sustain stability at both state and federal levels. He pointed to recent political developments in Negeri Sembilan as valuable lessons in maintaining calm and rational actions during crises.
Loke assured that all 17 PH assemblymen in the state remain united in supporting the current leadership to fulfill the people's mandate. He emphasized the need for a stable state to ensure effective functioning of the Federal Government under Anwar Ibrahim. He urged elected representatives and party machinery to stay focused on addressing rakyat issues and ensuring smooth governance.
Aminuddin reaffirmed his administration's commitment to steady and orderly development in Negeri Sembilan. Despite recent political challenges, the state government's priority remains the well-being of the people, focusing on education, economic stability, and efforts to attract investment.
