UniSIRAJ Achieves Record Graduate Employability Rate of 94.1% in 2024

Perlis:Universiti Islam Antarabangsa Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin (UniSIRAJ) has significantly boosted its graduate employability rate, reaching a record 94.1% in 2024, up from 50.0% in 2017.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Raja Muda of Perlis and UniSIRAJ Chancellor Tuanku Syed Faizuddin Putra Jamalullail highlighted this achievement as the highest recorded by the institution. He noted that the university has maintained a graduate employability rate above 90% for three consecutive years, with rates of 92.0% in 2022, 92.5% in 2023, and 94.1% in 2024.

Tuanku Syed Faizuddin emphasized that this upward trend is not temporary but reflects a robust and sustained improvement. He also pointed out that UniSIRAJ graduates are not only academically qualified but also possess market value and adaptability, meeting current employer needs.

The announcement was made after witnessing a memorandum of understanding (MoU) signing between UniSIRAJ and the Silk Road International University of Tourism and Cultural Heritage in Samarkand, Uzbekistan. The event was attended by Raja Puan Muda of Perlis Tuanku Dr Hajah Lailatul Shahreen Akashah Khalil, their daughter Hajah Sharifah Farah Adriana Jamalullail, and Malaysian Ambassador to Uzbekistan Rafedah Abdul Aziz.

The MoU was signed by UniSIRAJ Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Muhamad Rozaimi Ramle and Prof Dilmurod Nasimov, representing the Silk Road International University. Istana Arau stated that this collaboration underscores UniSIRAJ's commitment to expanding international networks and enhancing graduate readiness for the job market.

The initiative aims to solidify UniSIRAJ's position as a responsive higher education institution, ensuring its graduates are competitive and adaptable on both national and international stages.
