This trend highlights the party's ability to adapt to modern times and underscores its ongoing significance as a stabilizing force in Malaysia's political landscape.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Ahmad Zahid emphasized the importance of this development in a Facebook post celebrating UMNO's 80th anniversary. He remarked that the influx of young members signifies the party's continued relevance and trustworthiness in championing the nation's stability and future. Ahmad Zahid, who also serves as the Deputy Prime Minister, noted that despite the party's numerous challenges over the last eight decades, its true strength is rooted in the loyalty of its grassroots members.
Ahmad Zahid reflected on the trials UMNO has faced, including political challenges, divisions, and shifting public perceptions. Despite these hurdles, he affirmed that the party's resilience is maintained through the unwavering commitment of its members to defend religion, race, and the country.
