Kuala lumpur: The Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM) Alumni Education and Scholarship Fund launched today aims to sponsor five students each year, with a total allocation of RM400,000 by 2028. UiTM Pro-Chancellor Datuk Prof Emeritus Dr Hassan Said announced the fund’s establishment by the UiTM Alumni Federation of Malaysia (PAUiTM) as a strategic effort to support the educational development of future generations.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, Dr Hassan emphasized the importance of alumni contributions beyond financial support, encouraging them to contribute ideas, time, and energy. He made these remarks during the launch of the fund at the PAUiTM’s 2025 annual general meeting.
Dr Hassan described the initiative as a gesture of appreciation to the university, which has provided numerous opportunities for its graduates. He expressed hope that the scholarship would foster a cycle of support where current beneficiaries would, in turn, assist future students, thereby strengthening UiTM’s legacy.
The scholarship will offer full sponsorship for recipients, covering tuition fees, living allowance, books, and other learning necessities throughout their studies.
