Kuala lumpur: UEM Edgenta Bhd has appointed Shaiful Subhan as its managing director (MD) and chief executive officer (CEO) effective November 1, 2025. Shaiful has been serving as officer-in-charge during the transition period since the departure of former MD and CEO Syahrunizam Samsudin on August 31, 2025.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Shaiful Subhan joined UEM Edgenta in January 2023 as the head of healthcare solutions and managing director of Edgenta Mediserve Sdn Bhd. In this role, he oversaw the company’s strategic direction, drove operational excellence, and expanded its presence within Malaysia’s healthcare support industry.

The company noted Shaiful’s extensive experience spanning over 25 years in leadership roles across various sectors, including telecommunications, broadcasting, and information technology. Before joining UEM Edgenta, he served as the group chief executive officer of IRIS Corporation Bhd from 2017 to 2022.

The board of directors expressed confidence that Shaiful’s industry knowledge, leadership skills, and vision will enhance UEM Edgenta’s stature as a key regional player in asset management and infrastructure solutions.
