Yan: Two boys were killed when a car crashed into the bicycle they were riding on in Kampung Sedaka Tengah, near Yan, today. Yan Police Chief Supt Mohamad Hamizi Abdullah reported that both boys, aged 10 and 11, died at the scene from severe head injuries.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the police received a call from a member of the public at 9.25 am about the incident involving a car and a bicycle ridden by the two boys. The bodies of both victims have been sent to Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital, Alor Setar, for post-mortem examination.

The police have detained the car driver, and his urine screening test returned negative. The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987, Supt Mohamad Hamizi Abdullah added.
