Turtles Urged To Step Up Against KL City

Kuala terengganu: Terengganu FC (TFC) interim head coach Tengku Hazman Raja Hassan has urged his players to be more aggressive and avoid committing simple mistakes when they face Kuala Lumpur City FC in a Super League match at Stadium Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin tomorrow night. The 49-year-old tactician said the defeat to The City Boys in the Malaysia Cup quarter-final on Feb 15 should serve as a lesson for the squad, reminding them not to lose concentration and concede easy goals in the final moments.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, Tengku Hazman emphasized the importance of capitalizing on home matches to secure full points and improve the Turtles' league standing. He noted that defensive work had been a focus area, as the team conceded easy goals in their last meeting with KL City. He also identified issues with player focus and communication, urging the team to be more alert against KL City's quality players to avoid repeating past mistakes.

Tengku Hazman, a former national player, has not yet finalized the starting eleven for tomorrow's match, as several players are dealing with injuries. However, he expressed relief that central import player Raianderson da Costa Morais, known as Careca, will return after serving a one-match suspension. The coach plans to assess the final training session before deciding on the main squad. He reiterated the mission to secure full points, particularly in home games, to achieve their target of reaching the top four in the league. TFC currently sits fifth in the Super League with 28 points from 17 matches, trailing five points behind KL City, who are in third place.
