Tunku Mahkota Ismail Urges Federal Gov’t To Resolve Overcrowding At Major Hospitals In Johor

Johor: Johor Regent Tunku Mahkota Ismail today urged the Federal Government to expedite filling vacancies in the health sector to solve the extraordinary overcrowding at several major hospitals in the state.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, His Royal Highness voiced his concern about the critical situation in Sultanah Aminah Hospital, Sultan Ismail Hospital, Temenggong Seri Maharaja Tun Ibrahim Hospital and several other hospitals hit by a lack of employees. The Regent emphasized the urgent need for the Health Ministry to take immediate action to assign health workers so that the hospitals can operate fully and fulfill the health needs of Bangsa Johor.

The Regent further urged the Federal Government to expedite approvals to fill vacancies that have caused congestion in hospitals facing a lack of staff. His statement was posted on Facebook following the opening of Pasir Gudang Hospital.

Additionally, Tunku Mahkota Ismail stressed that healthcare services were a basic human right that needs to be met, highlighting the welfare of Bangsa Johor as a priority. He expressed his commitment to continue advocating for the needs of Bangsa Johor to ensure their voices are heard amidst administrative processes.
