KUALA LUMPUR: Yang Dipertuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan Tuanku Muhriz Tuanku Munawir today graced the book launch and art exhibition by renowned local architect Datuk Hajeedar Abdul Majid at Rumah Tangsi here. Accompanying Tuanku Muhriz were Tunku Ampuan Besar of Negeri Sembilan Tuanku Aishah Rohani Almarhum Tengku Besar Mahmud and their son, Tunku Ali Redhauddin.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the event was also attended by Malaysia Institute of Architects (PAM) president Adjunct Prof. Adrianta Aziz. Adrianta stated that Hajeedar’s solo exhibition is part of PAM’s initiatives to support Kuala Lumpur City Hall’s vision of establishing the federal capital as a cultural city while promoting the local creative industry. He emphasized that architecture is an integral part of the arts, and this exhibition highlighted the interconnectedness of these fields.

vent. The solo exhibition, showcasing Hajeedar’s collection of paintings, runs from today until Dec 1. Meanwhile, the book launched at the event, titled Soul to Reality, features his artistic and architectural works.

Hajeedar is a prominent figure in both local and international architectural communities. He was among the architects behind the Bank Pembangunan twin towers and made history in 1983 as the first individual in Malaysia to use computer-aided design and drafting (CADD) for his projects.
