Kuala lumpur: TRC Synergy Bhd's wholly owned subsidiary, Trans Resources Corporation Sdn Bhd, has been awarded a contract valued at RM550.8 million by SRS Consortium Sdn Bhd for work on the Penang Light Rail Transit (LRT) Mutiara Line.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, TRC Synergy disclosed in a Bursa Malaysia filing that the contract encompasses the construction and completion of viaduct guideway, stations, SBG launching, post-tensioning, grouting works, and additional associated tasks. The company stated that this project will not impact the issued and paid-up share capital, substantial shareholders' shareholdings, net assets per share, or the gearing of TRC Group and its subsidiaries.

The board of TRC Synergy expressed confidence that, barring unforeseen circumstances, the project is expected to positively influence the earnings and earnings per share of the TRC Group in the future.
