Toshiba Unveils High-Speed Photorelays to Enhance Semiconductor Testing

Tokyo: Toshiba Electronic Devices and Storage Corporation (“Toshiba”) has introduced two new photorelays, “TLP3414S” and “TLP3431S,” which are housed in the S-VSON4T package and feature a significantly faster turn-on time compared to their existing models. These advancements are set to improve the efficiency of semiconductor testing processes as shipments commence today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, these newly launched photorelays provide high efficiency optical coupling by enhancing the optical output from input side infrared-emitting diodes and optimizing photo detectors such as photodiode arrays. This results in a high-speed turn-on time, reaching a maximum of 150µs. The TLP3414S model offers a turn-on time that is approximately 50% shorter than its predecessor, the TLP3414. Similarly, the TLP3431S achieves a turn-on time approximately 62% shorter than the earlier TLP3431 model. The OFF-state output terminal voltage and the ON-state current ratings are specified at 40V/250mA for the TLP3414S and 20V/450mA for the TLP3431S.
