TNB Implements Measures to Ensure Stable Electricity Supply During Aidilfitri

Kuala Lumpur: Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) has implemented comprehensive preparatory measures to ensure a stable electricity supply and uninterrupted consumer comfort, across Peninsular Malaysia, throughout the upcoming Aidilfitri celebration.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, TNB chief distribution network officer Mahathir Nor Ismail stated that several projects have been undertaken to upgrade the electricity supply network nationwide. Additionally, TNB has strategically placed 271 mobile generators as part of its contingency plans.

Mahathir highlighted that more than 10,000 TNB personnel will be on 24-hour standby, starting from two days before Syawal until the third day of Aidilfitri. This measure aims to ensure a stable electricity supply during the festivities.

TNB’s technical team is set to monitor the situation closely and take swift action to restore supply in the event of disruptions. This proactive approach is intended to ensure that the joy of Aidilfitri celebrations remains uninterrupted in customers’ homes.

Furthermore, Mahathir advised the public to prioritize safety when leaving home for their hometowns and during Aidilfitri open houses. He emphasized the importance of switching off the main power supply and unplugging unused electrical appliances before leaving. Additionally, he warned against overloading sockets with too many devices, adapters, or extension cables.
