Pos Perwor:Personnel from the People's Volunteer Corps (RELA) have joined efforts with the Department of Wildlife and National Parks (Perhilitan) to set up a tiger trap in Kampung Takung, Pos Perwor, after a tiger attack resulted in the death of an Orang Asli resident last Monday.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the RELA Sungai Siput (North) district office noted on Facebook that several members were deployed to assist Perhilitan, ensuring the safety of local residents and addressing the threat posed by the tiger.

Residents and the public are advised to avoid areas identified as tiger habitats and to comply with all instructions issued by authorities. They are urged not to take independent actions and to immediately notify authorities if they have any information about the presence of a tiger.

Reports indicate that an Orang Asli man, Zamberi Angah, aged 42, was killed in a suspected tiger attack while foraging for rattan in the Korbu Forest Reserve near Kampung Takung, Pos Perwor, Sungai Siput. His body was discovered in a bamboo thicket near a logging road, approximately 200 meters from the suspected attack site, where tiger footprints and other evidence were found.
