Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds expected to affect nine states until 5 pm today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the adverse weather is forecast to impact several regions including Johor; Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, Kampar, Batang Padang, and Mualim in Perak; and Jeli in Kelantan. Similar weather conditions are anticipated in Besut, Setiu, Hulu Terengganu, and Kemaman in Terengganu; Pahang regions such as Cameron Highlands, Lipis, and Raub; Selangor's Hulu Selangor; and Negeri Sembilan areas including Seremban, Kuala Pilah, and Rembau.

In addition, parts of Sarawak and Sabah are also expected to experience these severe weather conditions. The affected areas in Sarawak include Mukah (Daro, Matu, Dalat, and Mukah), Bintulu, and Miri (Subis and Beluru). In Sabah, the regions of Limbang (Lawas), the Interior (Sipitang and Tambunan), and the West Coast are under the weather alert.
