Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) today issued a severe weather warning involving thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds across six states, expected to last until 2 am tomorrow.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the warning includes the states of Perlis, Kedah, Penang, and several districts in Perak, specifically Kerian, Larut, Matang and Selama, Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Manjung, and Bagan Datuk. Additionally, areas on the East Coast will also be affected, including parts of Kelantan such as Kota Bharu, Bachok, Machang, and Pasir Puteh, as well as Terengganu’s Besut and Setiu districts.
