Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds in nine states until 1 a.m. tonight.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, MetMalaysia stated that the affected regions include Perak, with areas such as Batang Padang and Muallim under alert. In Terengganu, warnings have been issued for Hulu Terengganu, Marang, Dungun, and Kemaman. Pahang is also on alert, with anticipated severe weather in Lipis, Raub, Jerantut, Temerloh, Maran, Kuantan, Bera, Pekan, and Rompin. In Selangor, Hulu Selangor is expected to experience similar conditions.
Negeri Sembilan is also bracing for the storm, particularly in Jempol and Tampin. Meanwhile, Melaka is expecting adverse weather in Melaka Tengah and Jasin.
In Johor, the districts of Tangkak, Segamat, Muar, Batu Pahat, Kluang, and Pontian have been put on alert. Sarawak is preparing for the storm in areas including Sibu, Kapit, Bintulu (specifically Tatau and Sebauh), Miri (Beluru, Telang Usan, and Marudi), and Limbang.
In Sabah, warnings have been issued for the Interior Division, covering Nabawan, Keningau, and Tambunan, as well as the West Coast in Ranau and Kota Belud, and the Sandakan Division, including Tongod, Telupid, Beluran, and Sandakan.
