Kuala Lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds for most states until 7 pm today.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, MetMalaysia stated that the adverse weather conditions are anticipated in several regions. In Kedah, the affected districts include Sik, Baling, Kulim, and Bandar Baharu. In Perak, the districts of Larut, Matang and Selama, Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, Kampar, Hilir Perak, Batang Padang, and Muallim are expected to experience similar conditions. Terengganu’s districts of Hulu Terengganu, Dungun, and Kemaman, as well as various areas in Pahang such as Tanah Tinggi Cameron, Lipis, Jerantut, Maran, Kuantan, Pekan, and Rompin, are also on alert.
The warning extends to Selangor, Melaka, Kuala Lumpur, and Putrajaya. Additionally, in Negeri Sembilan, the districts of Jelebu, Seremban, Port Dickson, Kuala Pilah, Rembau, and Tampin are included in the advisory. In Johor, Tangkak, Muar, Kluang, Mersing, and Kota Tinggi are at risk.
In Sarawak, the areas of Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu (Sibu and Selangau), Bintulu (Tatau), and Limbang are expected to experience these weather conditions. Meanwhile, in Sabah, the interior regions of Sipitang and Nabawan, the west coast area of Papar, and Tawau are also included in the warning.
