Thunderstorms, Heavy Rain Expected in Kuala Lumpur and Eight States Until 5pm

Kuala lumpur: Thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds are expected to hit Kuala Lumpur and eight states until 5pm today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) issued a statement warning that several areas in Kedah, including Sik, Baling, Kulim, and Bandar Baharu, are under threat. Additionally, in Penang, regions such as Seberang Perai Utara, Seberang Perai Tengah, and Seberang Perai Selatan are also expected to experience adverse weather conditions. Perak is not exempt, with areas like Kerian, Larut, Matang and Selama, Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Batang Padang, and Mualim on alert.

The weather warning extends to Pahang, covering Raub, Jerantut, Bentong, Kuantan, Pekan, and Rompin. The same conditions are anticipated in Kuala Lumpur and parts of Selangor, specifically Hulu Selangor, Gombak, and Hulu Langat. Negeri Sembilan areas such as Seremban and Rembau, along with several regions in Johor, including Mersing, Pontian, Kulai, Kota Tinggi, and Johor Bahru, are also expected to be affected.

In Sabah, the interior regions of Beaufort and Tambunan, the West Coast, and areas within Tawau, such as Tawau, Kunak, and Lahad Datu, along with Kudat, are forecasted to experience similar weather conditions.
