Kuala lumpur: Thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds are expected to hit five states until 1 pm today, according to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).

According to BERNAMA News Agency, MetMalaysia issued a statement indicating that the weather conditions are expected to impact Penang as well as parts of Kedah, including Yan, Kuala Muda, Baling, Kulim, and Bandar Baharu.

Additionally, other states anticipated to experience these conditions include Perak, affecting areas such as Kerian, Larut, Matang and Selama, Hulu Perak, and Kuala Kangsar. Pahang is also expected to be affected, specifically in Rompin, as well as Johor, encompassing Batu Pahat, Pontian, Kulai, and Johor Bahru.
