Thunderstorms, Heavy Rain Expected In Eight States Until 6 pm

Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds in eight states until 6 pm today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, MetMalaysia stated that the weather conditions are anticipated to affect various regions across Kedah, Penang, Perak, Kelantan, Terengganu, Pahang, Sarawak, and Sabah.

The specific areas under alert in Kedah include Bandar Baharu and Kulim, while in Penang, the warning pertains to Seberang Perai Selatan, Seberang Perai Tengah, and Seberang Perai Utara. In Perak, the regions of Kinta, Kampar, Kerian, Selama, Larut Matang, and Kuala Kangsar are expected to experience these weather conditions.

Further warnings have been issued for Gua Musang, Kuala Krai, and Jeli in Kelantan, as well as Besut in Terengganu and Cameron Highlands in Pahang. In Sarawak, the affected zones consist of Subis in Miri, Kapit and Song in Kapit, Kanowit and Selangau in Sibu, and Julau in Sarikei.

In Sabah, the areas expected to be impacted include Sook, Pensiangan, Tenom, and Sipitang in the Interior region, along with Kinabatangan and Tongod in Sandakan, and Kalabakan and Lahad Datu in Tawau.
