Thunderstorms Expected to Lash Several Malaysian States: MetMalaysia

Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of impending thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds across several regions in Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah, Sarawak, and Labuan, forecasted to continue until 9 pm tonight.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the affected areas in Peninsular Malaysia include Perlis and parts of Kedah such as Langkawi, Kubang Pasu, Padang Terap, Sik, Baling, Kulim, and Bandar Baharu. Perak will also experience adverse weather conditions, specifically in Kerian, Larut, Matang and Selama, Hilir Perak, Batang Padang, and Muallim.

Additionally, Kuala Lumpur and several districts in Selangor, namely Sabak Bernam, Kuala Selangor, Hulu Selangor, Klang, Gombak, and Petaling, are under the same warning. Johor's regions of Kulai and Johor Bahru are also expected to be affected.

In Sabah, areas projected to experience severe weather include the Interior, West Coast, encompassing Papar, Putatan, Penampang, Kota Kinabalu, Tuaran, and Ranau, and parts of Sandakan including Tongod, Telupid, and Beluran.

Sarawak's Kapit, specifically Kapit, Bukit Mabong, and Belaga districts, along with Miri and Limbang, are also on alert. The island of Labuan has been issued the same warning for adverse weather conditions.
