Thunderstorms and Heavy Rain Predicted for Kuala Lumpur, Labuan, and Nine States Until 9 PM


Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds involving the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur and Labuan as well as nine other states until 9 pm today.



According to BERNAMA News Agency, the warning indicates that adverse weather is expected to affect several regions across the country. In the state of Kedah, areas such as Kubang Pasu, Padang Terap, Sik, and Baling are anticipated to experience the severe weather conditions. In Perak, the districts of Larut, Matang and Selama, Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Manjung, Kinta, Perak Tengah, Kampar, Bagan Datuk, Hilir Perak, Batang Padang, and Mualim are likely to be impacted.



Further warnings have been issued for Terengganu, specifically in the districts of Dungun and Kemaman. Other states on the peninsula that are expected to face these weather conditions include Selangor (Hulu Selangor and Gombak) and Pahang (Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub, Jerantut, Bentong, Temerloh, Maran, Kuantan, and Pekan).



In Negeri Sembilan, areas such as Seremban, Port Dickson, Kuala Pilah, Rembau, Jempol, and Tampin are under alert. Johor is also set to experience the adverse weather, particularly in Batu Pahat and Pontian.



In East Malaysia, Sabah’s Interior (Sipitang, Tenom, Kuala Penyu, Beaufort, Keningau, and Tambunan) and West Coast (Papar, Putatan, Penampang, Kota Kinabalu, and Ranau), along with Sandakan’s Beluran, are predicted to be affected. Sarawak will see similar conditions in districts including Sri Aman, Sibu (Sibu and Selangau), Mukah (Dalat and Mukah), Kapit, Bintulu, Miri, and Limbang.
