Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning regarding the onset of thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds anticipated to affect several regions across nine states until 1 am.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, MetMalaysia's statement highlights that the warning encompasses the entire state of Melaka and specific areas within Kedah, including Baling. Additionally, parts of Perak, such as Hulu Perak, and several districts in Kelantan, namely Tumpat, Pasir Mas, Kota Bharu, Jeli, Tanah Merah, Bachok, Machang, Pasir Puteh, and Kuala Krai, are expected to experience these severe weather conditions.
The forecast extends to Terengganu, predicting similar weather patterns in Besut, Setiu, Kuala Nerus, Hulu Terengganu, Kuala Terengganu, and Marang. In Pahang, the regions of Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub, and Bentong are on alert.
In Johor, thunderstorms and heavy rain are expected to impact Tangkak, Muar, Batu Pahat, Pontian, and Johor Bahru. Meanwhile, in the state of Sabah, the areas of Telupid, Kinabatangan, and Sandakan are included in the warning. For Sarawak, the affected regions include Beluru, Telang Usan, Miri, Marudi, and Limbang.
