Kuala lumpur: Thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds are expected in five states until 7 pm today. The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a statement outlining the regions expected to be affected by the adverse weather conditions.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the states anticipated to experience these weather phenomena include Perak, with areas such as Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Manjung, Kinta, Perak Tengah, Kampar, and Batang Padang being specifically mentioned. In Pahang, Cameron Highlands is expected to be impacted, while in Johor, the affected areas include Kluang, Mersing, Kulai, Kota Tinggi, and Johor Bahru.
The warning extends to various parts of Sarawak, covering locations such as Kuching (Bau and Lundu), Samarahan, Sri Aman (Sri Aman), Sarikei (Pakan, Sarikei, and Julau), Sibu (Kanowit and Selangau), Mukah (Dalat and Mukah), Kapit (Song), and Bintulu. In Sabah, the areas that are likely to be affected include the Interior regions of Beaufort, Nabawan, and Tambunan, the West Coast, and districts like Tawau, Sandakan (Tongod, Telupid, and Beluran), and Kudat.
Residents in these areas are advised to take necessary precautions and stay updated with the latest weather forecasts to ensure safety during these potentially hazardous weather conditions.
