Thunderstorms and Heavy Rain Forecast for Multiple Malaysian States

Kuala lumpur: Thunderstorm, heavy rain, and strong winds are expected in several states until 10 pm today, according to the Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia).

According to BERNAMA News Agency, MetMalaysia issued a statement identifying the affected states as Kelantan, specifically Machang, Pasir Puteh, and Kuala Krai. The weather warning also extends to Terengganu and several areas in Pahang, including Jerantut, Bentong, Temerloh, Maran, Kuantan, and Bera.

Other regions anticipated to experience severe weather conditions include parts of Selangor, particularly Kuala Langat and Sepang, as well as areas in Negeri Sembilan such as Seremban, Port Dickson, and Rembau. The states of Melaka and Johor, specifically Tangkak and Muar, are also on alert.

In East Malaysia, the forecast covers several areas in Sarawak, notably Kapit, Bukit Mabong, Belaga, Bintulu (Tatau), and Miri (Beluru, Telang Usan, Marudi) along with Limbang. Moreover, in Sabah, the warning applies to the Interior regions, including Sipitang, Tenom, Kuala Penyu, and Beaufort, as well as the West Coast area of Putatan.

The Federal Territory of Labuan is also expected to be affected by these weather conditions. Residents in these areas are advised to take necessary precautions and stay updated with the latest weather information.
