Thunderstorms and Heavy Rain Expected Across Nine Malaysian States Until 8 PM

Kuala lumpur: Thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds are expected to prevail until 8 pm today in nine states, according to the Malaysian Meteorological Department.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the weather conditions are set to impact specific areas in several states, including Kelantan and parts of Kedah such as Baling, Kulim, and Bandar Baharu. In Perak, the areas of Larut, Matang and Selama, Hulu Perak, and Kuala Kangsar are expected to experience similar weather. Pahang's Lipis, Raub, Jerantut, Bentong, Temerloh, Maran, Kuantan, Bera, and Pekan have also been highlighted as regions likely to see adverse weather conditions, along with Besut, Setiu, Hulu Terengganu, Marang, Dungun, and Kemaman in Terengganu.

Further, Hulu Selangor in Selangor, as well as Jelebu and Jempol in Negeri Sembilan, are anticipated to be affected by the severe weather.

In Sarawak, the weather department has forecasted that the regions including Kuching (Lundu and Kuching), Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong (Pusa and Betong), Sarikei (Pakan and Julau), Kapit (Song and Kapit), Miri (Beluru and Marudi), and Limbang will experience similar conditions.

Additionally, areas in Sabah, specifically the interior regions such as Sipitang, Tenom, Beaufort, Nabawan, and Tambunan, as well as the West Coast (Ranau), Tawau, and Sandakan, are also expected to be affected by the turbulent weather. The public is advised to remain vigilant and take necessary precautions to ensure safety during this period of inclement weather.
