Thunderstorms and Heavy Rain Expected Across Kuala Lumpur and 12 States Until 7 PM

Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning regarding impending thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds in Kuala Lumpur and 12 states, expected to last until 7 pm tonight.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, MetMalaysia announced that the adverse weather conditions are anticipated to affect several regions, including the entirety of Perlis, Kedah, and Terengganu. In Penang, the areas likely to experience severe weather include Seberang Perai Utara, Seberang Perai Tengah, and Seberang Perai Selatan.

In Perak, the districts of Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, Kampar, Batang Padang, Muallim, Selama, Kerian, and Larut Matang are on alert. Kelantan is also expected to face the impact in locations such as Gua Musang, Jeli, Tanah Merah, Kuala Krai, Machang, Pasir Puteh, and Bachok. Similarly, in Pahang, the areas of Rompin, Pekan, Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub, Temerloh, Bentong, Bera, and Jerantut are included in the warning.

Additionally, warnings have been issued for parts of Selangor, specifically Hulu Selangor, Gombak, and Hulu Langat, as well as Negeri Sembilan, covering Tampin, Rembau, Jelebu, Seremban, Jempol, and Kuala Pilah. In Johor, Segamat is under the weather alert.

In Sarawak, regions such as Sarikei (including Sarikei, Maradong, and Julau) and Kapit (Song) are projected to experience severe weather conditions. In Sabah, the West Coast, including Ranau, and areas in Sandakan like Paitan, Telupid, and Labuk and Sugut, are expected to be affected.
