Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning for thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds across multiple regions, including Perlis, Penang, Melaka, and Labuan, as well as specific areas in Kedah, Perak, Johor, Sabah, and Sarawak, valid until 12 noon today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, MetMalaysia's statement highlights the affected regions in Kedah, which include Bandar Baharu, Kulim, Pendang, Pokok Sena, Langkawi, Kubang Pasu, Kota Setar, Kuala Muda, Yan, and Baling. In Perak, the impacted areas are Hulu Perak, Kerian, Selama, Larut Matang, Manjung, Bagan Datuk, Hilir Perak, Perak Tengah, and Kuala Kangsar.

Additionally, the warning extends to Muar, Tangkak, and Batu Pahat in Johor. In Sabah, the Interior regions such as Kuala Penyu, Beaufort, Membakut, and Sipitang, along with the West Coast areas including Papar, Kota Belud, Tuaran, Kota Kinabalu, Putatan, and Penampang, are also under alert. In Sarawak, the Miri division covering Marudi, Beluru, Miri, and Subis is included in the warning.
