Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning for thunderstorm, heavy rain, and strong winds affecting Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, and nine other states, which is expected to persist until 6 pm today.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, the warning highlights specific regions in Perak, including Larut, Matang and Selama, Hulu Perak, Kinta, Kampar, Hilir Perak, Batang Padang, and Muallim. Additionally, parts of Terengganu such as Hulu Terengganu, Dungun, and Kemaman, along with areas in Pahang including Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub, Jerantut, Bentong, Bera, and Rompin, are also under alert.
The warning extends to Negeri Sembilan, Melaka, and specific areas in Johor, namely Tangkak, Segamat, Muar, Batu Pahat, Kluang, Mersing, Pontian, and Kulai. In Sarawak, regions like Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu, Mukah, Kapit, and Bintulu are expected to experience adverse weather conditions.
Furthermore, in Sabah, the alert covers the Interior areas such as Sipitang, Tenom, Beaufort, Nabawan, Keningau, and Tambunan, along with the West Coast, Tawau, and Sandakan divisions including Telupid and Beluran.
