Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning for thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds affecting Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, and eight other states until 9 pm.
According to BERNAMA News Agency, MetMalaysia has identified areas in Perlis, Perak, and Selangor, along with the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya, as regions that will experience inclement weather conditions.
The warning extends to specific locations in Kedah, including Langkawi, Kubang Pasu, Kota Setar, Pokok Sena, Padang Terap, Pendang, Sik, and Baling. In Pahang, areas such as Cameron Highlands, Lipis, Raub, Jerantut, Temerloh, and Rompin are expected to be affected. Johor's Segamat, Kluang, and Mersing are also under the alert.
In East Malaysia, several areas in Sarawak, including Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong, Sarikei, Sibu, Mukah, Kapit, Bintulu, Miri, and Limbang, are expected to experience the adverse weather. In Sabah, the interior regions of Nabawan and Tambunan, the West Coast including Papar and Kota Kinabalu, as well as Tawau and Sandakan, are anticipated to be affected by the severe weather conditions.
