Thunderstorm Warning for Malaysian Regions Until 1 AM

Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds expected to affect five states and Labuan until 1 am on Saturday.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, MetMalaysia has identified specific areas within these regions as being at risk. In Terengganu, the affected areas include Setiu, Kuala Nerus, Hulu Terengganu, Kuala Terengganu, Marang, Dungun, and Kemaman. The warning also extends to Pahang, covering Lipis, Jerantut, Bentong, Temerloh, Maran, Kuantan, Bera, Pekan, and Rompin.

The advisory further includes Segamat in Johor, and several areas in Sarawak such as Simunjan, Pusa, Betong, Sarikei, Pakan, Julau, Sibu, Kapit, Song, Tatau, Subis, Beluru, Miri, and Marudi. Additionally, Sabah's Kuala Penyu, Beaufort, Nabawan, Papar, Tawau, and Tongod are also under the warning.

Residents in the affected regions are urged to stay informed of the latest weather updates. MetMalaysia recommends checking their official website, social media platforms, and the myCuaca application for accurate and timely information.
