Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds affecting Selangor, Perak, and Sarawak until 3 pm today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the advisory highlights that in Selangor, the area expected to be impacted is Sabak Bernam. In Perak, Bagan Datuk and Hilir Perak are the regions under alert.

In Sarawak, the warning extends to several areas including Kuching, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Betong (Pusa and Betong), Sarikei (Meradong), Sibu, and Mukah (Daro, Matu, and Dalat). MetMalaysia issued the statement at noon today, urging residents in these regions to prepare for adverse weather conditions.
