Kuala lumpur: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a warning of thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds across seven states and the Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur, effective until 9 pm today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, MetMalaysia's statement highlights that the affected areas in Kedah include Kulim, Bandar Baharu, Baling, and Sik. In Perak, the warning extends to Hulu Perak, Selama, and Muallim.

The alert is also applicable to Tumpat, Kota Bharu, Bachok, and Pasir Puteh in Kelantan. Terengganu's affected regions include Hulu Terengganu, Marang, Kuala Terengganu, Kuala Nerus, Setiu, and Besut.

In Pahang, Cameron Highlands, Lipis, and Jerantut are under warning, while in Selangor, the areas are Hulu Selangor and Gombak. Meanwhile, in Sarawak, the warning covers Sibu, Sarikei, Betong, Mukah, and Kapit (Song).
