Kuala Lumpur:The Malaysian Meteorological Department has issued a warning for thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds affecting several regions until 4 pm today.

According to BERNAMA News Agency, the warning impacts the states of Perlis, Kedah, Penang, Perak, Sarawak, and Sabah. Specifically, in Kedah, areas such as Langkawi, Kubang Pasu, Yan, Kota Setar, and Kuala Muda are under alert. The entire state of Penang and Perlis are also affected.

In Perak, the warning includes the region of Kerian. Sarawak's affected areas include Matu, Dalat, and Mukah in Mukah; Tatau and Bintulu in Bintulu; Subis, Miri, and Marudi in Miri; Lundu in Kuching; and Limbang.

In Sabah, the interior regions of Tambunan, Membakut, Keningau, and Beaufort, as well as Ranau, Tuaran, Kota Kinabalu, Penampang, Papar, and Kota Belud on the West Coast are included. The Tawau areas of Kalabakan, Tawau, and Lahad Datu, along with Kota Marudu in Kudat, are also under warning.
